CappFABB Meet Up: A Few Unfamiliar Faces

Went to my second CappFABB affair on Tuesday after work. This time it was held at Madewell in Georgetown. I believe this was the first bloggers event in 2012 that I attended. It was great to see all of my old blogger boos and some unfamiliar faces! This post is actually dedicated to some of the folks I didn't recognize! Enjoy.

Unfortunately, I can't remember everything, but I do know the lady in the middle is a friend and Natasha Thomas's (L) website is called Archetype Style. The woman to the right has a blog too...dammit...I don't remember what she told me...
BUT I do know that they all look great!

The scene.

Jacqueline of Jack Outside the Box
I loved this girl! I could literally talk to her forever! She was supeeer sweet!

My favorite duo and unfamiliar faces of the night!
Maneika (L) and daughter (I don't remember her name)! Crazy right? Mother and daughter? That's what I asked... I'm still puzzled.
Anywho, they are joining forces and teaming up to be the blogganistas (yeah, I totally just made that up) behind The Style Vault
LOVE!

Check out her funky, platform shoes!

Hands down, my favorite piece of the night worn by Courtney of Elan Renegade Vintage.
Amazing!

The close up.

The Music Scene

On Saturday, Sade and I went to the Intern Showcase at Sigma Sounds Studios in Philadelphia to support several, upcoming, talented artists.
Most importantly, we were there to style our client, WyldLyfe, for their first show of 2012!
Is was a great turnout and a lot of fun. All the artists did a fantastic job! It's usually held once a month in downtown Philadelphia, and always features different artists.
Here are some photos and videos of that night. Please excuse the sound quality of the video.  It was my first time filming on my Nikon, so I'm sure I need to set it up differently.

The hosts.

A fellow camera person.

Suzann Christine. We really enjoyed her performance. Google her.
This was just a snippet. My arm was getting tired...

Rapper/Singer, L.A., from Brookyln. She's quite dramatic, but she is extremely dope!
Google her!

I thought this was a cool picture of her during her performance, so I decided to share!

Some of L.A.'s performance.

WyldLyfe performing!

 The crowd.

The drummer for WyldLyfe is flipping awesome!

"THAT IS WHY WE NEED TO TRAVEL. IF WE DON’T OFFER OURSELF TO THE UNKNOWN, OUR SENSES DULL. OUR WORLD BECOMES SMALL AND WE LOSE OUR SENSE OF WONDER. OUR EYES DON’T LIFT TO THE HORIZON; OUR EARS DON’T HEAR THE SOUNDS AROUND US. THE EDGE IS OFF OUR EXPERIENCE, AND WE PASS OUR DAYS IN A ROUTINE THAT IS BOTH COMFORTABLE AND LIMITING. WE WAKE UP ONE DAY AND FIND THAT WE HAVE LOST OUR DREAMS IN ORDER TO PROTECT OUR DAYS."

First Sunday

Dress: Zara, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Hat&Clutch: stolenborrowed from my fabulous Aunt!

Decided to adorn this lovely hat for the first Sunday of 2012! Loved everything about it...the stares...not so much. When did wearing a hat become such a fashion faux pas? I remember a time when it was ALL about the hats for Sunday church service and brunch afterwards. *shrugs* Times have definitely changed.

Interior Designin'

Hey guys! I have recently been OB-sessed with interior design...dare I say more than fashion...joking joking... like that will EVER happen! LOL! I just moved into a new apartment here in Philly and decided to turn my second bedroom into our official office for Vice As If, LLC. Finally giving Genevia and I our very own space to get our work done :) Pics of my inspirations and our fab new office below!

I decided to go for a Black&White theme because its elegant, chic and so US. I drew inspirations from alot of interior design blogs since I had no idea how or where to start. Picking and choosing the decor on a budget was no easy task, especially since this was my first time 'interior designing' but I enjoyed every minute!
Used the pics from our photoshoot as 'art' for our gallery wall! Can you figure out the saying in the artwork? ;)

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out *pats self on back*!! All I need is my new Mac and I'm good to go! Still adding more decor as we go along which makes things even more fun. And believe you me, we now have no problem working late nights in our new space :) Now I'm officially addicted to interior design and have started gathering ideas for my bedroom...Ill keep you guys posted!

Sade

A New Year, 2012

Happy New Year, people!
I had a great time bringing in the new year with one of my best friends.
We had a safe, fun time aka we went to two house parties instead of the club!

I also colored my hair black (first timer), and I LOVE it. The extensions had to come out too, I was over them...
AND, this was also my first time wearing pink lipstick! I LOVE it! I felt very girly (not the usual bad ass in red lipstick feeling) lol
I didn't really have a chance to take nicer pics with my Nikon since it's in the shop, so I had to settle with the iPhone.
I wore the jumpsuit I scored at the Thelma's Vintage trunkshow a few weeks ago! One heck of a sparkly number, AMAZING!
I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and January 1st!
