Paris: Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2012

photos via fashiongonerogue

I really enjoy this collection.  It's fantastical!
The looks have a cool, airy aesthetic - but at the same time - it's kind of dark.  I think that has a lot to do with the head pieces though...
Lace, chiffon and silk make up the materials of these garments.
I wish I could wear things like this...
To go where? Umm, idk.  Maybe walk around Paris and then meet up with friends for drinks. You know, something really casual for gowns this intricate. lol
In sum, Sarah Burton did a fabulous job.
The details of the gowns and short dresses are unbelievable.  The peekaboo headpiece is a nice, complimentary piece to all the dresses, but maybe not in real life as one look. :/

Snakes

Raquel Zimmermann for Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 campaign by Nick Knight.
Wrapped in more than 30 snakes.
They definitely OD'd!
I wonder how much she got paid...

As Much As I Enjoy Shoes...I Wouldn't Dare

Alexander McQueen 'Armadillo' Shoes in Python.
Apparently, not even the most towering of stilettos can match these 12 inch tall shoes.
Congrats to the models that successfully pulled them off on the catwalk.
They'd be behind a glass if I owned them...

Holiday Clutches

A jazzy clutch can definitely spruce up a simple ensemble or add to a daring one, especially for the holiday parties fast approaching.
Whatever the case, these petite party purses deserve a second look.
They're too cute to be ignored, so consider it, actually, it's been decided,
you're going to buy one...or two!
