Came home to spend Easter weekend with my family :)
Church, my Grandma's cooking and my little brother proclaiming that he is the best driver

in the family were just a few highlights from a much needed weekend home.

And the beautiful weather made it a spectacular one!

I See You SUN

Confession: I am completely obsessed with sunglasses. I treat them like my babies. *bbm ashamed face* Even to the point where when I went home to Lagos last December and my cousin asked me for one of my sunglasses...I can't even begin to explain my facial expression after I heard that request.

New Addition

Genevia came to visit me in Philly FINALLY :)

We braved the rain and wind to head downtown for some shopping (as usual) and

Happy Birthday Sade!!!

Sade decided to have a suite party for her birthday (April 7) in D.C., so we celebrated yesterday amongst friends and family. It was a really good time considering the suite & service, DRINKS, cupcakes, food and party guests (some of which were crashers).  Although, there was a bit of a problem with the presentation of the first cupcake delivery, the second delivery turned to be very satisfactory in appearance and delectable in taste. 

My partner in crime, my man 100 grand, my ride or die, the other pea in my pod, my darling friend, I love you!

Back 2 Basics

Genevia and I often have conversations about how hard it has been to become reaccustomed to this life when you have lived that life abroad.

And it is. Memories of my days attending London met, partying at a pub in Piccadilly Circus, discovering art at Tate Modern, having the best pizza ever in Switzerland, running for the train at 5am in Cannes, sitting in ridiculous traffic in Lagos, and eating dinner outside on Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, seem to have all occured a lifetime ago. And as painful as that may be, it has now given me more motivation then ever to create new ones.

This weekend I reacquainted myself with old lovers of mine. Poetry. Art. Reading. Cooking. Parts of me that I feel have been swallowed by  my membership in corporate America. Parts of me that made me me. I turn a year older this week. And therefore I've decided to get back to basics.

Three's Company

Earlier this evening, my mom took my aunt and I out for a belated birthday dinner.  My aunt and I share the same birthday (March 27)! 

Sooooo, we headed to Wildfire in McLean, VA. The food there is always scrumptious. I just love McLean, it's the closest thing to... well, nothing really. I just like shopping at Tysons Galleria 2 :)  Great shops and nice area.  In fact, If I had to live in VA, I would only live in McLean or Alexandria because these two cities are fairly close to D.C., busy enough, and cool enough for me.
