DIY: Learn How to Tie a Turban 3 Ways

I love turbans that are already made because I'm lazy like that lol! But these 3 ways are great options if you'd prefer to DIY! Plus, they can be way more stylish because you can use any scarf that has patterns, designs, etc.
Enjoy!

No Such Luck

Howdy there!
So, I did begin my search for a color block inspired look to wear to the wedding in July.
No such luck.
My first thought was to go to a department store: Neiman Marcus. Sadly, nothing caught my eye, but then again, that was expected! Department stores can sometimes be too "cooker cutter."  I'm looking for something that's more out-of-the-box.  I'm thinking I may have to make some vintage visits to be even more inspired.  Afterall, I may find what I am looking for secondhand...
On an inspirational note, I stubbled across this picture of Esperanza Spalding during my daily cyber "drive by."  I really enjoy this photo of her from InStyle Magazine May 2011.
Beauty, natural hair, eccentric wardrobe direction, color, pattern, what's not to love?!

Inspirational Friday

Janet Jackson looks AMAZING, especially in this color block trend!!
The colors are fabulous together.
I would totally wear/pair these hues :)
... I can't get over this look ...
*light bulb moment*
This outfit has actually given me ideas for an upcoming wedding I must attend...
Ahh yes, the joy of inspiration!
Definitely going to begin my search for THE look this weekend.
I'll let you know what I find ...or don't find.

Fight Night 2011

Happy Mother's Day to all our readers who are mother's.
We hope your day is a pleasant one!
So, I changed my hair up a little AND you all will be happy to know that I have a DSLR now, so my photos are much more crisp in quality! The photos below are a testament to my new purchase!
*Major Difference Indeed* lol
I'm still learning how to use it though, so bare with me...
Now about yesterday: I made a quick cameo at a cookout and then headed to a friend's house for a fight party.  I didn't actually get to watch the fight because I was "tardy for the party" lol!
I had a grand time though, especially since I got to see some familiar faces from college.

I just love Vera Wang's dress by her, of course!

Simply Amazing!
Shalom Harlow in Marchesa.
Now, this is a conversation piece! Hands down my favorite look on the red carpet..from the side at least!

Living in Rooms

I'm totally into interior design these days! Here are a few of my favorite rooms from Horchow.com:
This room is called FEMME FATALE, and rightfully so!
So seductive and bad ass.  Everything I want in one of my future rooms. In fact, my next home is going to be decorated by moods.  The top three, four, five moods that rock my world! lol

WORDLY GOODS. I'm a huge traveler, so this room is right up my alley. International flair is so chill and down-to-earth.

Kids would never be allowed in this room...PARIS METRO... the name is extremely befitting.
Tea? Why yes! Cocktail? Of course!
What a refreshing living room.
The colors are totally snobbish and chic... Love It!
