The Dark Side

My semi-usual Polyvore display of pieces that I want, of course. I was in a mood when I decided to create this one. I'm feeling a lot of dark colors these days...even down to my current nail color. It's a dark berry colored OPI, it's effing fabulous! Will show worn in a photo one day...

Update on the dress for the wedding: I've decided to wear my prom dress, of what seems like a decade ago, semi-vintage? Yeah, I didn't think so either...Anyway, that bad boy still fits like a glove and is extremely flattering. It's a Nicole Miller body conscious dress! SEXY & ELEGANT. A definite oldie but goodie, which will be paired with these taupe, Valentino peep toe shoes I purchased last week. It's going to be an UH-mazing look!

Definition of a Good Time

Thursday evening, we kept it classy and cooked dinner before we officially began our journey to NYC. It was nice outside, so we ate on the patio and sipped on a Nigerian cocktail called Chapman. Good times!

Sade and I partied in NYC to support one of our DJ friends. During the car ride we chatted about our guilty pleasures like Basketball Wives and Love & Hip Hop... don't judge us :) We had a blast, but the drive back to Philadelphia at 4AM was THE WORST!!!

On Friday, we participated in our usual: a little shopping downtown: Old City and dinner at Wine-O. Later that evening, we partied... again at Grey Social. Despite the fact that our bodies were biologically out of sync, we made sure we enjoyed ourselves each step of the way.

We did THE MOST this weekend, but our new motto is: EFF it, WE'RE YOUNG!!

Nice food and good wine, definition of a good time *Ne-Yo Voice*

I found this year old picture of Rihanna at MTV's EMA after party, and I just love this Emilio Pucci dress she's wearing!!!

I can't get over it... It's everything I love in a cocktail dress: short and backless!

Plus, the fact that it's long sleeve and short (complete contradiction) makes me love it even more!

18 Hours Later

Hey guys! I'm finally back from Lagos!
I ended up staying an extra week...long story...but I had a blast nonetheless. Sooo I definitely planned on taking loads of pics....until I realized I left my camera back in the states -_-

Wearing Less is Such a Breeze!

Had a busy yesterday folks! Went to a cookout in D.C. and received my first mosquito bite of the Summer, hooray! (total sarcasm) lol. Afterwards, one of my friends had a "Girls Night" at her home, so you know I had to make an appearance! Dinner was served, wine was chilled and conversation into the wee hours of the morning was enjoyed!
