Last Friday I hosted my first dinner party ever and it was a fabulous time!!! Shopping, decorating, cooking AND serving 8 of my girlfriends was no easy task but the end result was definitely worth it!
The key to a lovely table...FRESH FLOWERS & CANDLES!!! Trust me, it changes the whole mood. I had flowers and scented candles all over my apartment with Asa (soulful Nigerian artist) playing in background to make it nice and cozy for my guests.
1st course was a Tomato Feta Salad with homemade croutons.
2nd was roasted chicken with homemade mashed potatoes.
Dessert was a fruit parfait. I made this ages ago, but I couldn't find the recipe so I kind of made this up...lol...everyone enjoyed it nonetheless!
Pitchers of Sangria were made earlier so we drank good throughout the night :)
The girlies minus Cece and Shamirra!
Sent the girls home with these little takeaway boxes with mini cupcakes inside :)
New addition to my apartment...

Good times all around! I'm telling ya'll...a good girls night is oh so necessary every once in a while!

ReplyDeleteOMG you did a FANTASTIC job!! Everything looks so beautiful & professional :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazinggg, I know this took lots of planning on your part. I'm skipping the whole idea of a house warming AND definitely going for a more intimate dinner party.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great time. And the food looks delicious! Love your place too!
